If you have played as much Destiny as I am guessing you have played, in a way, Bungie’s awful RNG did exactly what they want. I highly doubt it’s a mistake and I highly doubt it’s not well researched as to wether or not the RNG keeps people playing the game vs people quitting the game.
But yes it’s frustrating and massively irritating.

This. I guarantee Bungie has a room somewhere with people dedicated solely to the psychology of addicting people to the game, telling the designers how to adjust rewards just enough so it’s not enough to push people out but enough to keep them coming back like a bunch of tweakers.
