It's just like the puzzles in the forges...you.need different forge weapons and stand in certain spots to shoot symbols on the walls and floor...and there are 6 or 7 levels with a boss each...then you have to enter letters on each level like h+berflu+hluty and stuff...and if you don't do it in time, you start over from the beginning...it's not worth trying until someone beats it and instructions are up on youtube...it's been 11 hours and NOBODY has completed it...it has taken longer to beat than anything other than last wish in destiny history...that's why people are mad, it's not a community event, it's an event that only a select few players have the time and ability to finish the first time. We'll be able to.do it once we have the codes and such but they used a poor choice of words in calling this an event and putting it on the road map as if most players would be able to take part. Then they tweeted out "watch the best and brightest attempt to solve this puzzle" with a link to about a dozen twitch channels, all the usual famous destiny streamers...as if they don't have people saying they cater to streamers enough lol, guess they want more of that action for some reason. I love this game and have ALWAYS defended bungie but it's hard to do on this one. To the streamers credit though, even some of them said they are disappointed that this isn't more inclusive to the community as a whole. At least once a team beats it, everybody gets access to the forge I guess

So what you're saying is Bungie makes dumb decisions... nothing new. Season 5 just keeps getting better and better.
