The best p4p boxer in that timeframe is between Marciano, Ali, Jones Jr or Tyson. I really want to pick RJJ from those four, I really do, but he just never left as strong an impact as the other 3 and he didn't outright dominate the sport for too long. I have to go with Tyson.
Put it like this - if you told me that I had to step in the ring with every heavyweight champion except for 1, then the 1 that I would avoid is Mike Tyson. Id never step in the ring against him for any amount of money. I'm liable to get my ear bit off even if he doesn't beat the shit out of me

Tyson was scary af in the open but had no idea what to do if you clinched him. Would have loved to see him fight older Ali after his knees were fcked and he had to learn to tie up alot like his old teacher archie moore

A serious list < Prime Tyson is tough to beat. Different age to Marciano as well. How do you feel they would stack against unified MMA rules? Jones Jrn would have KO’d many a top fighter long before any ground game could occur.

Are we talking about prime tyson or jones jr. in the cage for the first time against cormier or miocic? They'd get ragdolled or have their lead legs punted all night

Wrestling and ground game I have Cormier (without a doubt) 70% in favour of a prime Tyson without ground fight. What about prime Roy Jones jrn vs prime vanderlei Silva (five years middle weight champion pride days) all out. Both have an unrelenting style and were beats!

I mean yeah if they had some gentlemen's agreement to just throw hands. I cant see DC underestimating any top boxer in the cage and not ragdolling them all 3-5 rounds. Idk u got me with silva, but only because he wasn't gifted with a very good fight i.q. and would probably gladly swing for the fences like he always did

He was unrelenting and a monster.

He also left his chin on a platter and couldn't care less about what was coming back, which would have gotten him in trouble real quick against RJJ. He'd make him a grappler real quick

He fought Crocop and H bomb Henderson!

Hes gotta get to it first. Most people just gave it to him. Not alot of science involved
-
Brutality vs science. He would have a mental brawlers chance. He also used his head a lot during vale tudo and as soon as his opponents hit the deck it would be penalty kicks all day.

Can't say. Roy Jones Jr feels like the type of fighter who can hit you whenever he wants, with power, but his chin is what's in question. I don't think it's that strong
