Niobe Labs puzzle is dumb.
Sooooooo does anyone else find this Niobe labs puzzle thing kinda dumb? Why does bungie think we want to watch streamers figure out a puzzle?

19 RepliesI would’ve never imagined that I would be spending my time watching twitch instead of actually playing the game. I am at awe at this egregious move. What a shame and disappointment. Anybody seen the twit regarding this event? It goes like this: “Watch the best and brightest attempt the puzzle: bit.ly/2Fdq5sm”. While I have no doubt that the streamers here are great and bright, I really feel that since I’m not one of them I am dumb and irrelevant.

I don’t mind the puzzle, I don’t mind the boring weapon forge steps and quests to unlock another repetitive forge, I don’t even mind the slow trickle of content...what I do mind is them constantly pushing content only a select few can do day 1, I do mind them pushing old content as if it’s new, I do mind them pushing boring content and half lies. Remember ‘black weapons’ anyone? Allegedly suppose to be on par or better than exotics...just regular legendaries ...yawn. The annual pass had been a gigantic failure to be and that’s just off one season of content. Never been so disappointed in destiny and bungie before and I can’t even find the desire to play the game like I used to. Would rather wait for some new games. Wish I could honestly get a refund for the AP but I’ve finally learned my lesson, stop trusting bungie when even they don’t have the answers until close to launch.

"Dumb" isn't really the correct word here as it's taking some very smart people to figure it out. But... Personally I like to shoot in my shooters and solve puzzles in puzzle games. Last time I checked, this was a shooter.

It’s painfully obvious that they purposefully decided to make the even a twitch ad while screwing the majority of players. Just look at their arrogant responses on twitter: ‘You can do it now.’ Ya, if you had an extremely hardcore 3-man team that is better/smarter than literally everyone else in the world. Also, resetting to wave 1 after 6 levels of sponge bullet bosses just because the team has 30 seconds to experiment actually solving the puzzle is the definition of artificial grind to extend content. Even the streamer Gladd said it is dumb that there is no checkpoint whatsoever. He didn’t say why they wouldn’t do it, but we all know why. Newflash, Bungie, no one likes wasting 20 minutes watching repetitive shit just to get to the actual puzzle bit and then half the team try a password for half a minute Before wiping and starting over. I know you have no actual new content, but sheesh. At least hide it better.

Definitely expected too much from a guardian who doesn't even really talk much... and it was 2 years into D2 fot that to happen. Oh and our ghost... yeah, he isn't that bright either. I actually think he might be an impostor and his voice changed a few years back.

Great display of Bungie's operating model for the past year and half. Streamers and content promoters are top of the cater-to list and the "other" players fall way below that just above whale snot. Another hard attempt to push viewers for their free marketing teams.

The puzzle is just ridiculous, it should be solvable without turning to the Internet for ciphers or frigging norse translations. This should have been a secret, not an advertised event. Also if the last forge is the same as the others, I'd imagine this whole process isn't going to be a huge let down.
