No aliens wouldn’t have souls because souls don’t exist.

  • That's inherently false. The law of statistical probability says otherwise, even if it's an infinitesimally small chance.

  • The law of statistical probability says that aliens don't exist, actually. Look up the Fermi Paradox.

  • The Fermi Paradox is also that: A paradox. It either is or isn't true and most likely isn't because how the HELL is it possible over the course of several billion years that only ONE, our, race has achieved this level of intelligence out of the millions and millions of planets out there? Sure, a ridiculously small amount can actually support carbon based life like us but surely SOMEWHERE there's another intelligent race.

  • It offers a hell of a lot more evidence than, "duh, of course there's aliens because, uhh, there must be!"

  • So supposing that we're either completely alone or just haven't found other life yet is more compelling than the literal fact that no matter how small a chance, as long as it's not provably impossible, there is definitely other life in the universe? -blam!-ing what. That's basically saying the same damn thing, man.

  • The Fermi Paradox basically says they they should have found us by now, not the other way around. The math used for this all but proves it. For the record, I'm of the mindset that life does exist elsewhere, despite this. However, I understand what the Fermi Paradox actually is and it's kind of disappointing.

  • A more advanced civilization, or a close by one, probably would have found us by now yes. But who's to say they even use radio waves and it's derivative technologies for communication if they are as advanced, more advanced, or close to us? They could have bypassed radio and such entirely somehow for all we know, if there truly is a more advanced species out there, or one close by. Personally I think it's impossible for there not to be at least one other advanced civilization out in the universe, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're our galactic neighbors.

  • It's not impossible at all. As I've said, there's more evidence to the contrary, unfortunately.

  • In answer to the Fermi Paradox perhaps intelligent life is so rare and the universe is so big that maybe we will never see it even if it does exist. After all it’s only occurred once out of billions of species on earth. If a freak accident hadn’t wiped out the dinosaurs it probably wouldn’t of happened at all. If intelligent life was so rare that it only happened once in million galaxies for example then we would likely be completely alone in this galaxy. But there are trillions of galaxies in the universe. So even if intelligent life was only 1 in a million galaxies then that’s still a lot of intelligent life out there. Unfortunately we would just never see it because the distances between galaxies is just too great.

  • There are interesting counters to the Fermi paradox. Perhaps sentient life reaches a point where it generally decides that conquering the universe to its extreme adds no value? Maybe there isn’t an energy-efficient method of deep/fast space travel or communication. Coupled with the fact that the universe is expanding at an accelerated rate perhaps it’s possible there’s no way aliens have found us yet. There are some other hypotheses as well, but perhaps also we’re the only/first “intelligent” life in the universe. Interesting to ponder

  • For sure. I'd like to think there is life elsewhere but I always get a chuckle out of someone saying, "statistically, there has to be life elsewhere because our galaxy is so large" when that exact reason tends to show the opposite.

Then look at the toughest and resilience of some native species to the earth. If they can survive here in some of the worst conditions, maybe they came from elsewhere or survive on other planets also. Mars had vast oceans at one point, so there was probably some form of life in our solar system at one point.

We don’t know if aliens exist or not. But it seems unlikely that life would only evolve on one planet in the entire universe. There are trillions upon trillions of planets out there. So even if life is exceedingly rare there’s still bound to be life out there somewhere. If there’s one thing we know about the universe it’s that it’s repetitive and likes patterns. Galaxies, stars and planets repeat the same patterns everywhere we look in the universe. So if there is life here theoretically there should be life elsewhere. Of course we won’t know for sure until we find it.

  • We though a few hundred years ago that the galaxy was everything and the stars we could see the extent of our known universe. We now know there are billions of galaxies and space is expanding. We don’t even know what species we have on earth alone, let alone the deep recesses of space. I would say the chance of having different species is far higher than not having.
