Relatively well, but I’m high functioning and have had a lot of time to learn. I can’t pick up on any non-verbal cues. Metaphors are difficult to understand too.

The type of thing you normally see in those is a lower functioning autism or something like it that causes one to lose the ability to understand non-spoken social cues. This explains the mad shenanigans that occur in these stories. The cause this because they have no internal system that tells them not to.
