Having got all 3 toons to 650 and finished the Breakneck quest and the forges (on one character), yes, it is a grind. I don't mind a grind however Forsaken seem a tad too grindy. Same crap over and over again for loots that just meh. I don't think I'll ever raid unfortunately so that's probably out of the question for me. Just seems that Bungie made this DLC extra grindy to make it appear they put out a lot of new content for the DLC.

They made it Grindy for long term players who play several hours or more a day. It isn’t set up fir casuals to obtain everything.
