aim assist is barely noticeable on PC using a controller, its actually an disadvantage
It is way more powered on consoles tho
edit: i have tried, for funs (as i ahve an xbox pc controller) , but no way you are doing anything in crucible on pc playing with controller.
Maybe with xim, but i dont have that nor i do spend that amount of money for it lol

You forgot about people who had experience playing Destiny 1 and some of them switched to PCs and continue to play on the gamepad. Your answer is subjective. You have no experience of playing on a gamepad, and from this you make a start and say that playing on a gamepad does not give you a good idea. Stop thinking so crazy and understand that if you do not know how to play on a gamepad, it does not mean that a person with 4+ years of experience playing a gamepad will not be god-like to play -_-

I agree with your post, i do own a PS4 tho, and i do play on consoles from time to time, mostly teh exclusive games But, the gamepad for Destiny 2 (i am speaking about the actual game controller plugged into the pc) the gamepad is not very good. Even with sensitivity turned to max, you can barely move (turn around, to be more exactly), even harder to drive your vehicle, so imagine on pvp. Gamepad is not a contender here, and even with aim assist will more than likely lose against k/m users, on pc If we speak about XIM EMULATOR, then that is another story, and as i said previously, i did not used that as i found to be very expensive just for one game. I do know that XIM will emulate your k/m and trick your pc to think you are playing on a controller. Funny how no one mentions (avoids to speak off) about the ahk red bar aimbot scripters. Do a google search, you will see that what you think it may be a controller aim assist, is an actual aimbot designed for destiny 2, to aim always at the center of the red bar above enemy head, hence headshoting most of the time. There are hundreds available and many are using them, if you indulge in reading their forums you will see ppl boasting about how well they did with this or that ahk script on crucible. My tldr: Gamepad on pc ain't an issue, will lose against k/m, faster turning and aiming. XIM IS A HUGE ISSUE INDEED AHK Aimbots are rampart, i reported many already.
