What’s so hard to understand? That statement only specifically mentioned crucible quest was account based. This is because the crucible quest requires certain rank(s) be achieved, unlike the gambit/strike weapon quests.

Either way, the formatting in the TWAB is what has lead to this misunderstanding why the whole (global) destiny community believe that the quests would be account based. Here's an article on Polygon that also thinks that all pinnacle weapon quests will be account based. I wouldn’t say it’s a global community problem...as there are plenty of people who understood it to mean that only the crucible one was to be account-wide. Bungie can’t help that other 3rd party sources have given out incorrect info. Heck, even some of the big Destiny/Destiny 2 “content creators” have provided false/misleading info in their podcasts/vids/streams/etc. I’m not saying that Bungie couldn’t have been a little more precise with which one(s) were account-based, but it’s definitely the minority (in my opinion) of those that got the wrong impression.
