Why would you buy anything before knowing what you're getting? Season pass clearly presents itself as staggered releases of content and shows what content you can expect. Personally, I will not buy the Season Pass, I hop from game to game too often to make that dedication. I did just buy Forsaken due to the fact that Base Game was free, and people gave praise about Forsaken content. Comes with Osiris and Warmind, but those weren't too entertaining. Really enjoying Gambit and PvP, and still playing through Forsaken. I think my experience so far is worth the $40.00 I paid for it. If you can't get your money back, I would recommend getting Forsaken next time it goes on sale, and put some time in. It's pretty great, but I'm still in the honeymoon phase. Probably got 120+ hours in. 40 bucks isn't bad. 30 for a year worth of additional content isn't bad either. Take the game for what it is. You don't have to accept it, but you can find some fun there if you have friends to play with. Sorry things didn't go as you had hoped.

Pretty sure it would have been clearly stated the expansion pass required forsaken so that one's on you. The matchmaking does suck though, true dat. Powerful drops can drop below your current item if your overall light level is lower, which is sucky but that's RNG for you.
