Select D2 and press the menu button - choose Manage Game and Add-Ons
If they had the deluxe edition, then they should see files installed here for Black Armory etc - which does not drop until next week. Additionally, this would be the section where you check Ready To Install or Updates, not the general one for all Games and Apps.
If uncertain, take a screenshot of the Management area for D2 that shows all files installed and show it here. If you do that through the console itself, you can provide the link to it from XBoxDVR.com - or you can upload to Imgur or similar site and post the link here.

They did get the digital deluxe edition, and it did come with the annual pass. Everything was working fine till the season five update came out and some how everything that came with the annual pass and the annual pass itself was removed completely. They even looked at the ready to install and nothing was there. The only things that are there is destiny 2, destiny 2 forsaken, caydes exotic stash, and both expansions.
