I agree the weapon is strong, but it was also this strong when Sleeper was dominant. Imagine that... there was a counter to Sleeper the entire time. I’m sure that little fact nugget is lost on all of the raging children who cried about Sleeper, though. Crooked Fang is really good, too, it’s just not as forgiving. If people are running around with Queenbreaker, that means they aren’t running around with Telesto... so... doesn’t that make the nerfherders happy? Imagine getting Queenbreaker nerfed, and people start using Crooked Fang as effectively as Queenbreaker, but then they’ll have Telesto equipped too. So many great options in this game. So many ways to counter everything. It sucks that everyone’s reaction is to jump on bandwagons and ruin weapons, one at a time.

The difference is that at the time queenbreakers was new and hard to get with how exotic drops work. Sleeper on the other hand was guaranteed from a quest and players had plenty of time to get it before forsaken. Now more and more people are getting queenbreakers, so it’s becoming a bigger issue. And do you really think people would use any linear fusion rifle with telesto when grenade launchers are a thing? But you probably didn’t think about that.

  • I use the Tarantula.

  • Sleeper became an issue because everyone could get it from a quest and grind, and infact many already had. Queensbreaker wasn’t because of the low exotic drop rate but now more have it, the more it’s becoming known as an issue and effectively the only weapon people will use as invaders. I have it, it’s broken. Do I use it, no because I prefer to run DPS on the boss and not a fan of invading. When I have used it and invaded, easiest kills ever because even if someone out flanks you the snap shot hip fire does the job.

  • There are so many options in this game right now, but if you guys keep getting things nerfed one by one we’re going to be runnng around with double auto rifles team shooting again. That’s not what I want, but hey, you’re entitled to your opinion.

  • I do get what your saying, and agree they we should be careful with nerfs. Personally I think the notification of invasion is the larger issue, regardless of weapon. When there is any element of lag there is the opportunity for invader to arrive as the announcement occurs, this means there is literally no time to react or get to cover and by the nature of the game mode you can’t always be in cover. The invader already has massive advantages so this leads to issues as how can you find cover, let alone peak shoot someone that can see you moving. Personally the wall hacks are too strong overall and should be inline with those provided by wish ended where it’s a pulse not always evident, plus maybe a slight delay between announcement and invader actually being in scope and firing.

  • The problem with sleeper was that it was good for everything, there was no better option. Queenbreaker is fine, yeah it is strong for invasions, but that thing won't do half the dps my thunderlord can do on a primeval.

  • Too strong for invasions. You can lock the other team down at spawn by aiming in their general direction. I've witnessed 7 kills before due the Queenbreaker. Anything else actually requires skill to use because it doesn't register a miss as a headshot.

Queenbreaker has always been better than sleeper. People just needed to be carried by sleeper in order to feel good

  • I said the sleeper was good on everything and that there was no better option, not that it was the best option for everything. Yes, queenbreaker was always better than sleeper for invasions, but sleeper still could do that exceptionally well and also be amazing for primeval damage.

Sleeper was only good if you ran solo. If you played with a team who knew what they were doing, sleeper was non existent. Melting bossed with ep shotty or supers was the thing. You didn’t even need to use sleeper if you had QB

  • Thousand Voices can counter Sleeper too, everyone should just use that.

  • QBB is more broken than sleeper was. Go figure, considering it was broken in D1 also.

  • Crooked Fang was a suitable counter for anyone with thumbs. A sniper rifle with zero charge time is a great counter. Hear me out on this one... hiding behind a -blam!-ing rock would do the -blam!-ing trick... no weapon needed. I'd love to know where you got those statistics, by the way. "Literally everyone" is a new one to me... I wonder how Bungie measures that. Please inform me, Mr. Hurr Durr.

  • I mean Thousand Voices is strong vs bosses and Invaders, it can counter anything. Everyone should just use their Thousand Voices.

  • Nobody used it back then because almost nobody had it. I'm not normally one to call for nerfs, but in this case it's just ridiculous. No gun should have that much aim assist. Besides, there are ways they can buff it to make up for some of the lost power. I don't want the weapon to become unusable, just less easy to use.

  • Sleeper was 1000x easier to get. NEXT?

  • Easy? Got my Queenbreaker from killing a dreg during a strike. Doesn’t get easier than that. Also, saying “next?” like a bitchy little girl doesn’t make you smart or correct. It just makes you look stupid and bitchy.

  •
Easy? Got my Queenbreaker from killing a dreg during a strike. Doesn’t get easier than that.
You're confusing the difficulty of the enemy you killed with actual probability; I don't think I need to explain why that's stupid, but since you're claiming it was easier to get a non-guaranteed weapon from a rarity of engram that hardly drops to a guaranteed, 100% reward for quest weapon...you probably do need someone to explain that something with a less than 100% chance is not greater than a 100% chance. You're also the one getting defensive because you had no logical counterargument, but I'm sure I'm "stupid and bitchy" for pointing out how math works.

  • You’re confusing difficulty and luck. I was replying to someone saying it was more difficult to get a gun that was literally handed to me. Sleeper was like a 6 step quest. So, yeah. Sleeper was much more difficult to get. Now, if you want to change your argument to something like, “getting Queenbreaker depends on 100% luck and therefore people are more likely to have Sleeper,” then I’ll agree with you. Now, see how I was able to express my thoughts without calling you stupid or saying “NEXT?” like a child? Try it out sometime. You’ll feel better about yourself.

  • Thats exactly what he said though?? Queen breakers does 100% rely on luck. And you cant seriously watch that video and say that weapon is balanced. People arent saying nerf it into the ground. Just reduce its aim assit so you actually have to aim it on someone's head... not just in the general direction.

  • Yup. I called it over and over. Leave Sleeper alone. More people will get QB and it will be fine. They are good counters to each other.
