I truly believe Bungie has added an RNG element to Tracking in 2.05.x update. I'm finding about 30% or less of the time, it will actually track the target you locked on to. The rest of the time it simply doesn't even follow the target, even if it simply steps 10 feet to the left or right. There was a huge thread that 800+ people upvoted on this, which was promptly moved to (and buried in) Feedback.

  • There was a huge thread bungie buried it. Dmg, of BUNGIE, people said in response that sandbox teamhad reported, "increasing velocity might have had an unseen effect on the viability of the hit boxes and thier detection." Essentially increasing the veloctiy means rockets can't turn in time, even if they are standing still, if we are off by a fraction the chances of it not correcting or over correcting due to speed and being unable to readjust. Ending up with shots landing behind, and splash damage not effecting them due to again hit boxes, or due the rocket curving just slightly around. That statement came out and we'll.. it went down hill.. From their people got pissed. Stating no one asked for a velocity buff in the Festival Of the Lost. He said he'd pass it along to sandbox team and any other information. -- The Thread than got buried despite upvotes and comments. Rumors that Bungie did it on purpose after reports from streamers were listened to within a week, that "Rocket Launchers were to easy of a counter for SS and QP, exotics should be able to one shot kill, against such meager weapons." --- I'm hopping bungie just unties thier tongue. Says sorry and reverses that velocity buff, who cares if some steamers can't be a cheese Lord and get easy kills. Doesn't mean a deliberate Buff, intended to be a nerf was cool. It's not Bungie."
