I want all these cosmetic items to be permanent - really don't enjoy having to "grind for more shaders," or God forbid, buying them from collections for Bright Dust.
I've barely used any of these - shaders, transmat, projections, etc because of this.

Yeah, I've used exactly ONE shader in the game and none of the others. They messed up so many systems... I haven't done a single infusion either, or modded any components. The fact that they had to speed up shader dismantling tells volumes how successful the system has been... It's just not worth to invest in any of your equipment until you're max light because something higher light will drop tomorrow anyway. The easiest solution would be to allow purchasing all unlocked cosmetics for a nominal fee of glimmer from your collections tab. That would involve no code changes, just a slight tweak in the collections prices data.

that would definitely make glimmer more useful, ever since they changed the infusion system, i rarely have less then 100k glimmer...

It's honestly kind of funny that we have these shader collections...maybe the way they coded the game doesn't allow them to turn it back to D1-style but what we have now is basically a more convoluted version of the D1 system...maybe they want them to be a resource sink? I don't know
