I care shit about you believing me or not, Blocking on xbox live does not effect matchmaking, I know this from my own experience. Also give it a thought, why would they introduce a system where people can simply block everybody in the Crucible who is better than them, which would give great players also a bad reputation, and would give Bungie a headache since matching people up would only be harder since they have to take in account the blocked lists of all 8 people. PS: Blocking another player prevents you from receiving the player’s messages, game invites, and party invites.
