Innocent until proven guilty, OP above gave proof through his Internet Company asking him about his DDOS. If there is proof, there should be punishment and shame.

  • No offence to the OP, but if ISP has the evidence of a single ip address, why are they not pursuing legal action as it was an attack on their network? OP should not be worried about being on their bad side, they should be going after the attacker.

  • Maybe they have, but that won’t stop the same people from doing it. So they should still be banned.

  • Yea that makes sense. I was speaking more in general. Also though what's the point of shaming someone's gamertag when they are going to get banned anyway and make a new account? I feel like the cheaters want their names to be noticed and publicised.

  • It’s the same with false -blam!- accusations, yes there are times where that happens and the victim is not punished for lying. However, this is different from Video Games. Yeah yeah they’re just Video Games, but when companies like Bungie have strict rules against cheaters, action should be taken.

  • I agree, but from my personal experience I have not run into many cheaters at all in my lifetime of playing online and I play a -blam!- ton. So either they are doing a good job eliminating cheating or there just isn't as many to cause an escalated issue on their behalf. Also i imagine player shaming is not good PR for a company which I assume it mainly comes down to in the end. I probably got off topic there but I'm sure you get my point lol

  • Yes yes i get thats what hes saying however thats not proof? Thats him telling us something that we would have to believe because he cant show evidence of the call or what the call said you know? The only way we could tell is knowing the names and checking their history to see how frequently it happens and thats not possible cause bungie took the names out. So its still innocent no?

  • We are not all Philadelphia lawyers here. If the gist of the story is true i tend to believe all of it. If that person is lying ... well its his problem not mine.

  • Not really, the proof was there but Bungie hid it.
