I don't play much PvP anymore, in fact, as little as possible. Never was that good at it, but the new ranking system has gutted PvP for me.
I haven't played much at all in the last two weeks; I've found pleasure in reading, again. Burned through three books ("Just Kids", "Future Sex", and a little chap book of mathematical formulae) in a few days and just started "American Gods" which has been on the stack forever. I'd almost forgotten how much I love to read.
I fired up the Xbox late yesterday. I hovered over Destiny 2 but played, of all things, FalloutShelter. Then, I reinstalled Mass Effect: Andromeda to see how it plays after whatever their last fixes were. The graphics are shite, but their story line is orders of magnitude better than anything we've gotten in Destiny. Not sure I'll keep playing it, but it was a welcome respite from all the Destiny nonsense.
Bungie may be listening, but I am consistently flummoxed by what they choose to fix. Just about done. And when I'm done with a game, I rarely go back: EverQuest, World of Warcraft, Age of Empires (in multiplayer, gawd those scripts), Call of Duty, Halo. I'm looking for my next big indulgence. Have yet to find it. Can I really be at the end of my gaming life after four decades of pushing pixels?
