They're not sharing, per se. They haven't moved peer to peer -> dedicated servers, and with peer to peer you're able to get anyone's IP in the game you're in. By not moving to dedicated servers they are technically sharing. No matter what Bungie does, they can't stop DDoSers. It sucks, but assholes will be assholes wherever they are.
