I'm sorry you got dossed, sadly it happens almost every day if you play high tier pvp Destiny 2. Its astonishing how bad the comp playlist is this season.
Clearly Bungie doesnt give a -blam!- cause lagswitch and ddos have been going on for years now on a large scale, and they have never even acknowledged it.

The DoS is easier now that we have a peer to peer connection. Though the OP may not be able to do anything about it, they should urge their ISP to. As far as most ISP are concerned that is an attack on their system as well. While not enough to stop an ISP's entire network it is still time, money and manpower needed to route around the problem until they can block it.
