Remind me again why it’s so bad? I honestly forget. I haven’t touched comp in like 2 weeks now.

  • From what I've heard, nobody plays the objective and matches just go on too long. Spawn killing is also rampant. The only thing people seem to like is that they can progress the Luna's Howl quest due to getting a large amount of kills.

  • If you don't take both points you lose. In a control point based mode its kinda baffling that you're set behind the moment you win a point. Getting the second point either requires a super or heavy and lots of teamshooting to get it but they usually respawn very quickly to get you off the point. Stalemates award no glory so you just wasted a bunch of time. They took the idea from Overwatch but decided to ignore all the QoL fixes that put OW control in a better place that actually rewards the team that got more progress on their point.

    The matchmaking is the actual worst. The system doesn’t seem to account for team composition at all, so you regularly end up with stacked teams vs teams of entirely solo players. It seems to try to average our skill between the players on the teams, so better players seem to end up teamed up with absolute potatoes, while mediocre players end up on teams made entirely of mediocre players. And the punishment for leaving matches early is evidently not harsh enough because people do it constantly. Edit: Oh, you’re talking about Breakthrough. Uhh, I dunno. People don’t seem to like objective-based modes.
