An alternative to the Dynamo perk nerf

First: Thank you for regularly pushing updates and trying to keep things balanced based on community feedback. I really appreciate it. Regarding the Dynamo perk, I feel disappointed. I thought it was a good idea to build in additional conditions to prevent exploits. But at the distances I usually engage, it has become pretty much useless for me now. (Warlock with Duke Mk.44 or Go Figure as kinetic) So I'd like to ask for an implementation of alternative or additional conditions. For example being hurt or taking enemy fire. Environmental hazards would be too situational to exploit this. The Dynamo perk was strong in comparison to other leg armor perks. So maybe reducing the base amount of energy returned but ramping it up when critical and in proximity to enemies would be a good compromise?
