I’m pretty sure the io scanner works in dreaming city for some reason.

Wow really? I'm using Skyline Flipside Shell (exotic) which has IO combo detector... But this is an obvious bug since I'm not on IO and only detecting resources, no cashes.

Yeah it’s random as hell, I just noticed it once and I am pretty sure I had my io scanner on still. I’d report it but idgaf.

I wanted to test the theory so I equipped a different shell, one for EDZ. I'm still detecting resources... I guess that's why it's a bug then haha, it could be that it allows detection even if the IO shell isn't equipped. Weird.

I found the answer! Someone else posted on here saying it's because my clan must be level 5, since it is, I checked my clan banner and on there has the resources perk! Perhaps this is your scenario as well
