So, the Darkness is referred to the Queen of final shapes. It is described that the final shape is killing all weakness (meaning it’s the strongest). Aren’t these ships just that? The strongest shape is indeed a triangle and these ships are tetrahedrons.

<The Darkness is an entity, I doubt that it inhabits all those ships. When I first saw the lore tabs on what the Drifter found on that ice planet, it perplexed me. However, those creatures seemed to mindless to be capable of building mega structures much less piloting them. They seem more like a natural-born entity of Darkness rather than another race with a pact. I believe another race, new, inhabits those ships, while the middle one is home to the Deep itself.>
