People in Canada payed over $100, that's pretty ridiculous.
-
it is the same cost as US, just adjusted for Can dollar. Just like Fallout is 80 instead of 60. As far as Yuna goes, it is normal and borderline mandatory in that market to have a pay to win model. That market specifically those paying by the hour would rather buy their stuff to limit their cost per hour. There has been no talk or indication of bringing that model to the rest of us, all released information has pointed to the exactly the opposite. There are much more important things to be upset about, we do not need to create new ones that have near zero chance of ever being a real concern.
-
Hey I'm glad it doesn't bother you. I just want to know when I'm going to see that pay-to-win model. Don't say it's zero Chance because America is the land of opportunity, if you have the opportunity- you will take it.

You are literally worrying about something that has not shown ANY indication of leaving the Korean market. They have explained in detail the steps they have taken to keep those players segregated away from the rest of us. If they wanted to do it, they already would have. If that is your biggest concern with destiny, great day for you. I am more concerned about issues that are actually in game not things that have no impact on the game at this or any foreseeable time.

I think it was the base game, It's besides the point; If this practice comes here, I'm out. no salt just moving on.

AND the Season Pass. It's not ridiculous at all.
-
That's a matter of opinion, and you're entitled to it. I don't think it's reasonable to sell that and all of the things they do.

Why not? This is a Live Game, with free events, a top tier AAA Shooter feel, supporting over a million daily players, with new DLC and sequels in development. Do you realize the cost to develop a game has grown exponentially over the past 15 years while game prices have continued to remain regulated and static? That's why so many companies are leaning into Microtransactions. So yes, when they release a full title, they charge full title price ($60). When they release a DLC or Season Pass, they charge DLC ($20)/Season Pass ($30) prices. And when they release an Expansion, they charge Expansion prices ($40). A full YEAR of content is costing you an average of $70- $80. For a YEAR. And that's assuming you STOP playing that content once you get the new set of content. It's not an opinion that these prices are not ridiculous, it is a FACT. What is ridiculous is people like you thinking any game of this magnitude could be anything cheaper and are too blind to appreciate the value you are getting, and then coming on the forums to show that bigotry to the world. FOH.

I see, I guess I'm just lamenting the fact that my gaming has come to a place where microtransactions are a thing, gaming has become so complicated I need to pay more money to enjoy them to the fullest extent. I must be getting old.
