No way. They have too much aim assist and low zoom, precise scopes for the energy slot. They would send snipers to a one way to the vault and even shotguns. As much as I like linear fusion rifles, no way they can be special. But an exotic special would be nice.

Because as we all know, when someone proposes a slot change it's always "As is-no further changes, certainly not undoing some of the power they have to have them compete with other weapon types in their current slot."

Edited by CORE SwarmFIRE13: 10/14/2018 11:55:29 AMI like that you complain without anything to back it up. And don’t even use linear fusion rifles.
-
You were complaining from a point of complete delusion, what did you expect me to do? Meticulously explain how, if a weapon changes slot types, it’s reasonable to assume it’d undergo some minor balance changes along the way? Oh wait, I just did, look at me go! And look at you, making ridiculous assumptions with no basis in reality, because the only way you can find to counter my argument is convince yourself it isn’t worth listening to in the first place, and you have to find some semi-legitimate reason you can do that first.

Edited by CORE SwarmFIRE13: 10/14/2018 1:40:17 PMHave you used linear fusion rifles in your entire destiny experience or are you just complaining for the fun. There charge rate is insanely fast and they are super accurate. And remember that they are a 1/4 of the heavy slot, so changing them to special would make no sense.
-
Hey look, you have no ability to read or comprehend arguments. Neat. Yes, I have. I want to use them more. Hence, giving them access to a more common ammo type. Duh. They’re the bastard offspring of Fusion Rifles and Sniper Rifles, both special weapons. They’re really cool, I don’t want to be reliant on purple bricks to use them. Again, duh. So now we’ve moved past your “UM DO YOU EVEN FIRE THE BANG BANG?” Point, what next?
-
Ok, you love linear fusion rifles, but they are way too op to be special. Deal with it. And I guess you dont want them to be nerfed, so stop asking for them in the special slot.
-
“Yeah, you dismantled my argument, including the fallacious parts, but, like, you’re still wrong!”
-
Alright. So you want linear fusions as special. Now tell me, compared to snipers, witch is better? Linears of course. So if we put them in secondary slot, they kick snipers to the vault. So either bungo nerfs them, witch is trash or linears destroy snipers. Also, you want to rob the heavy slot of a 1/4 of its gun types. Why would you do this? Is it because you got sniped and now you want to take revenge without actually becoming a good sniper? Well I guess complaining and hoping for change is better than learning to snipe. Oh, one last thing. Git gud.
-
Even if it was an energy weapon, I'd take a linear fusion over a sniper any day.... because they have lower zoom. But that's personal preference.
-
Exactly. Thats why linears are heavy.
-
I'm sorry, having a lower zoom than the dedicated long-range weapon type makes them worthy of larger ammo constraints? If there was a sniper rifle with iron sights, would it magically be the best gun in the game?

-
Omg yesss exotic linear fusion would be dope, the queensbreaker feels almost the same power as legendary lfrs
-
Agreed.
