Mote walk over detection is dogshit
I'm sliding over motes and even tried ballistic slamming directly into one to try an pick it up and no luck.

1 ReplyThey should utilize Armor Sets bonuses. If you wear the complete Gambit set in Gambit, any motes within 2-feet of you are automatically picked up.

1 ReplyI know what are you talking about and I feel the same . Is a big SHIT to pick up motes. I was in the middle of like 20 30 motes so I walk around and after 10 sec guess what? 7 motes I picked up from 30. Wtf ? Yea this game is made by people who don't know make games. The game suck , poor frame rate , laggy , glitchy, and so on. But that's the way this company make games . And us who are hobbyist players( not bullshit streamers) must live with this. Until we move on other games.

Bungie will say it's your connection. Happens more frequently since they admitted to handicapping "winning" team, in my experience. The real issue is hit detection being off compared to field of view. Sometimes I have to backup to pickup a mote.

It's way worse in the last 7 days. Collision Detection is broken. I see my arrow hit bad guys and no damage. I stand on motes and can't pick them up. I land slowly after a jump and die. Idk what they changed but it's laggy and frustrating as hell. I have a 200MB connection. Idk why it's happening but it's not me.

The also glitch underground sometimes. And we’ve all seen the awkward backwards shuffle to a mote you see behind you on your map, but somehow didn’t pick up when you stepped on it. Mote pick up radius needs increased, and I’d personally like to see a 3 sec timer before teammates can pick up your motes. Blueberries stealing motes from teammates in a cooperative game mode are annoying as hell.

And boy did this post bring out the haters. Gambit functions better than crucible at this point because there's method to the madness. The game isn't out of balance yet. I'm sure it will be soon though with the way Bungie caters to all the cry hards.

It's like you can kill an enemy with your melee, so this means you're dam close; and the mote springs up into the air over your head and lands behind you. WTF then someone else slides past grabbing what you've worked to get, sort this crap out bungo.

4 RepliesThe answer is simple. 1 make them magnetic, they are attracted to you so you dont have to sit on them to pick them up, and run backwards and forwards like a pleb, or, 2 make an exotic gambit ghost that increases the pick up radius. This was a perk in d1 for ammo so deffinatly implementable

3 RepliesRunning back, running fast, jumping over enemies to deposit ALL THOSE MOTES you just collected from a crap-load of defeated foes. You're sweating bullets, literally, you don't look at your mote count, must get to magic mote box. You almost die four times, you make it! Press X... ... ... 2 motes collected. You cry.

I can’t tell you how many of MY MOTES have been stolen, cause you have to slowly walk over them to pick em up.

5 RepliesIt's trash, I had a mote drop between 2 stones, and I couldn't get it, which stopped me from getting my FIFTEEN right then and there, and resulted in a death from an invader.

I don't know what you mean, I've watched so many other guardians behind me have no problems picking up the motes I'm walking over first so it's clearly working fine for them!

I noticed that too. Found out I can grab notes from other peoples kills easier than my own, so now I just ignore motes from my kills and sweep up others as fast as I can.
