Sleeper in gambit fix! Without the nerf bat

Full disclosure, I do t have the weapon and I’ve been crying to nerf it this whole time. IM SORRY Don’t nerf it anymore! I absolutely HATE dying by this gun but it’s still going to be OP in gambit as long as it’s a one shot to the body. And it’s getting dangerously close to being useless now! So instead of looking at the gun why not look at the mechanics of invading? The wall hacks are what causes sleeper to be so unfair. The fact that an invader can see the entire enemy team at all times means that can sit and camp the back with their one hit weapon. Solution? Remove wall hacks, but give invaders more time. Heck I’d even give bonus time for additional kills. Think about it. Invaders still have an overshield and their radar would only show the 4 enemy guardians , so they would still know where they are as long as they are in radar distance. In addition maybe remove the glow from the invader if they don’t get wall hacks. Bungie I’m looking at your testers here to see what’s best. Without that glow the invader could try to blend in with the enemy to get their kills. Please upvote to get a civil discussion going. And any suggestions are more that welcome TL;DR Stop nerfing sleeper and nerf the invasion mechanic. No wall hacks but more time to invade. Possibly remove the red glow on invader for balance.

  • I think invading is an excellent idea, just (as usual) not implemented in the most thought out way. Because weapon choice is always going to go through a meta, and to be honest Sleeper Simulant isn’t the only weapon that can turn invasions into total crapshoots, I had the idea that Bungie could treat Gambit invasions like the games Evolve or Left 4 Dead; *Give a player control of a “Special” Taken miniboss.* Invaders would spawn in as invading red Taken Knights with a boost to speed and melee strength, and could chase down Guardians and hunt their motes. Of course, your idea of a “pulsing” wall hack Isn’t bad either, and would definitely be less work to implement.
