Shotguns are lame though and you don’t get any respect using them. I mean on paper, that person running around slide shotgunning may be doing well, but underneath , anyone with half a brain knows that person isn’t that skilled of a player..

Oh I wasn't saying players who use shotguns aren't skilled. I was just simply saying that shotguns are much easier and have a much lower skill ceiling than a sniper. Both of the two best players I play with (Gamefreak Toker and A Criminal Newt) both use shotguns exclusively but have some of the best primary shots I've seen.

No, I said a great player can use all weapons. A great sniper can be a great shotgun player, but a great shotgun player can’t necessarily snipe. Then you got all weasel and started talking about k/d like it -blam!-ing matters when half the community agrees that shotguns are basically for noobs and squeakers.

You know what's funny though? I brought up your kd because you trying to tell me what's good for the crucible is like a highschool JV quarterback trying to coach a starting college quarterback. I want what's best for the game and instead of being a normal person and just talking about it you came at me like I just Dishonored your family. "Half the community". That's funny, because as much as I hate to say it, that "half of the community" is letting their rage at dying control their opinions rather than focusing on how they could get better. Then they complain to bungie about shotguns being"op", bungie nerfs them, and then you're left with a slow paced and boring PvP experience because no one will have the balls to push anyone.

By your rational he should have no opinion , even though he’s smart, rich, retired and had 50+ years of experience on earth. So now that you’ve seen the light, my k/d isn’t even that bad. Take away the first few months of bad play as I was learning the only pvp I have ever played , the fact that I play casually maybe once a week. I’d say my true k/d is more like what’s on my hunter which is about 1.5. Regardless it doesn’t take a genius to tell that sniping takes a while lot more practice and skill then running around cheesing ohk weapons. I do want the best crucible, and I believe there’s a spot for shotguns, just not a spot in what is to be considered the highest form of pvp play. And another thing , just the fact that you’d care enough to take the time to check someone’s stats, I mean what that really say about your petty ways? While at the same time you watch people play games on twitch which is strange in itself

You twisted my words. Your professor friend might be wealthy and smart, but you said he's the worst PvP player you've seen. So if I met him I would ask him how to be successful. I wouldn't even think to ask him "Hey man, what does D2 PvP need" if he's "The worst PvP player you've seen". That's like asking Michael Jordan how soccer could be improved. You wouldn't do it. Also I just like to know what caliber of player I'm talking to because a pro scrim player is going to know way more about the game and what it needs compared to "a casual who's a pro at calling out scrubs". But I will agree with you on one thing. Sniping definitely takes more skill, and I just want the best crucible we can have.

They would be called one trick ponies or phonies. Now if they are excellent snipers, whoo choose to run shotguns, that is a different story.
