I always run my Supremacy and my Trust and do just fine, snipers are plenty viable on any map with enough practice and map awareness imo. Just much harder to have ammo consistently.

I think 12,000+ kills with 75% headshot accuracy in D1 is "enough practice". I'm not saying that to be cocky, just showing I have lots of sniping experience. I use trust as well, unless you catch a shotgun user from more than like 15 feet away he's gonna kill you 9-10 times. And with Destiny 2's map sizes being generally small, trying to keep distance from people is difficult.

I have 7,351 kills with a 75.58% crit percentage in d1 as well, im no inexperienced sniper either. And I'm not arguing that there's very few primaries that can compete with a shotgun at close range, because there's very few that can. All I was saying was that's what I run and I do fine with it, I have no complaints. Shotguns are what they are, I'm not one to complain about shit on here lol

I agree with everything he has said... I had over 30k kills with a sniper in D1 and 75+% as well. I had a TOTAL of 26 shotgun kills in D1, I have zero in D2... I would rather lose than use a shotgun

Oh trust me I don't want shotguns nerfed in any way, I just want snipers buffed. That's my only problem with the gun system in D2 right now. And if I was giving off the vibe of complaining that wasn't my intent

No you're good. I look at it as a skill gap kinda thing, everyone whined about snipers back in d1, and they were everywhere. Now that shotguns are the new thing using a sniper efficiently feels more rewarding imo. I wouldn't complain about any sort of buff they'd throw towards snipers, but then how long will it be before that's the meta again?

Even if they buffed snipers I still think majority of players would use shotguns if shotguns remained as lethal as they are right now. I say that only because a sniper would require players to go for precision shots and a typical player won't want to have to do that. But I definitely agree with you about sniping in D2 feeling satisfying
