I would save him before torturing him. But I would see him dead before I would save him. But not at point blank range on an unarmed man, that's what I have Petra for!

Looking for fates worse than death here, not death; that's not punishment enough for his crimes in my opinion.
-
I thought you said "Given the choice between saving Uldren from being lead astray by a certain voice or punishing him with a fate worse than death...which would you choose? " I was just saying my thoughts on the other in addition to my answer that I would save him

-
Yeah, sorry about that. Interesting post btw
-
I'm glad it's been generating so much discussion :) It's something that I've been mulling over ever since Petra put him down, and I wanted to get the thoughts of my peers.
-
I know, it really is an ongoing fascinating debate. And I had just begun to think that only Bethesda could create morally grey plot lines
-
Ok I was just adding that in there bc I didn't want to get jumped on about sparing Cayde's killer. I would spare him, but... If I were to punish him I would make him the sole occupant of The Prison of Elders aka solitary confinement (And that dude is an attention hound)
-
No no, I get it. And hey, I get the feeling that Cayde would probably tell us not to go too far in getting revenge for his death. I've read some of his new lore, and he seems to be all about "being a better man than he might have been" and wants the same for us. Decent punishment, and I like that you've taken Uldren's narcissism into account. He escaped the prison once though. Would be a lot harder with just one arm, is all I'm sayin'... ;)
-
Dismantle Uldren, yes?
-
Lol. Yeah, since Uldren admires the Fallen to a degree, I thought it fitting if his punishment was to be docked like a dreg. Plus cutting off an arm is forever damaging his skill and reflexes that he's always taken such pride in. And again, having one less arm makes him just a little less dangerous I think.

Cayde was unarmed and killed at point blank.
-
Yes, but Cayde was a better man then Udren and so are we
-
That's the right answer. Nice to know someone else around here actually has morals.
-
Same here, friend. It's best to live out our morals even in the games we play
