Gambit Invaders: Low Risk, High Reward

I personally don't understand why the devs made the invader overpowered. Why does the guardian that invades the other side get to see everyone's locations and have overshields? Not only that, but they can also see everyone's mote count so that they know exactly which guardians to kill to have the biggest impact. I don't know why the guardian that wants to split off from his team to attack the other team gets a buff. Invading the other team should be a high risk, high reward situation. You are leaving the comfort and "safety" of your territory to potentially hinder the other team. They also mostly use Linear Fusion Rifles so they can just body shot guardians that they know the locations of to get a one hit kill. That doesn't make any sense why Bungie would do that. Don't get me wrong. I think the Gambit game mode was a great idea and with the right changes, would be a great mode but currently I think that is the only big flaw in my eyes.

  • It’s 4 v 1. If you are in a semi coordinated team, the odds are not against you unless he is really good. And if he’s that good, then you just tip your hat and move on. I’m a solo player, so I don’t get as much coordination on my teams. But even if you aren’t on a good team, or can’t communicate, you can kill him yourself if you have the right weapon, ability or super and are skilled enough. Worst case scenario, he kills your whole team and you move on. In that case, go do it to them and you are all back to square one. I’m not one of these guys to say “get good”, but I do think it’s fair.
