Unfair advantage?
I got a XiM Apex and im wondering if its unfair to use,,,,
No i dont have every single key mapped to something, its like a normal controller but flatter and ya know with a mouse, no macros, no mods, just the setup..and if you think im cheating im running Office supply level KB+M
Should I sell it and get a Elite controller or something?
Because i hate fighting unfairly, at least if my fellow guardians cant hit it without playing the game normally ya know?
I just dont want to feel bad after i win because...due to a different layout
and if you could... mind putting up a Controller that has paddles or something that are mappable, hair trigger, and fast response time? thats literally why i got a kb+m just so i can have a faster response time and more time to fire than i normally have with my 4 year old controller.

It is not an advantage in d2. I have tested it. With all of your ballistic curves and motion curves smoothed perfectly you still have issues with turn in / speed and aim due to aim assist. You can smooth it to your liking, but it is still there and somethimes creates jitter when aiming or hesitation when sprinting. Other games, like battlefield, you have an advantage. Not in d2 though. At best with optimal setup and curves you play as well as you did on the sticks.

2 RepliesMany view use of kb&m as “cheating”. Since consoles don’t currently natively support them, you are putting yourself at a disadvantage - the xim has to convert those kb&m actions into controller. You’d be better off just using a scuff or elite, or simply using “jumper” from the game options.
