Toland the shattered one - an exiled warlock who became obsessed with the hive. He is currently in the ascendant realm after being taken their in a conversation with the deathsinger. Kabr the legionless - a great Titan who with the aid of the hunter Phahanin and the FWC warlock Praydeth, and the influence of the “then” vanguard commander Osiris, assaulted the Vault of Glass. Kabr drank from a vex construct known as the oracles and it slowly began to consume him. After Praydeth was lost in the gorgons maze and phahanin fled the vault Kabr sacrificed his light to forge the Aiges, a shield that could be used to repel dark consumption within the vault and be used to defeat both the Templar and Atheon times conflux. Shin Malphur - as a young man shin met a guardian known as Jaren Ward. Ward possessed a weapon known as the last word. He arrived in the city of pamalon, and after killing dictorial magistrate Loken he took nine people back to the city. Three died on the trek and on the ninth day the group were awoken to gunfire. Turns out the notorious character known as Dredgen Yor has killed Jaren. Shin took up the last word and Ward’s ghost and hunted down Dredgen. In a confrontation on Dwindlers ridge, Shin created a golden gun and killed Dredgen Yor. In recent times a group calling themselves the “Shadows of Yor” are following in his footsteps and Shin Malphur is on a path to stop them.

 • Wouldn't it suck if Shin Malphur was corrupted?

 • Wouldn't be a fair list if Toland wasn't on it haha! Really hope we find out more about Toland and his exploits/fate... Kabr is a good one, didn't really look into much of the lore back in D1 so all of the VoG stuff is kind of over my head... Sound's like he's got a cool story though! YES! Shin Malphur and especially Dredgen Yor are brilliant additions - I would love to see some sort scenario where they bring them back into the game again in the way of factions or just some quests. I find Dredgen Yor (Or Rezyl Azzir as his original name) is one of the most interesting guardians within the lore imo... Being one of the first "Guardians" and notorious as a great warrior & leader eventually falling to the darkness wielding hive magic and becoming an out and out bad ass villain - he has to be one of the most interesting characters created yet don't appear in the game itself.

A list like this isn’t fair without Toland. I can’t wait for him to make an appearance. The VOG story if one of my favs and is quite possibly one of the most tragic. Shin Malphur is hopefully gonna be a badass when he’s introduced.
So I actually just realised that the three characters listed are implicitly interconnected. Toland was obsessed with the hive. The hive result in the creation of Dredgen Yor. Yor killed phahanin who was part of the VOG team. Shin kills Dredgen Yor. Weird.
• Wow, that is pretty cool! There's so much potential to implement all the lore we know of into the game in some way, I just really hope they pull it off... The Grimoire Anthology they are bringing out looks class, going to need to get my hands on a copy!
