Youbcan only do a certain number of the guns a week there should be 11 in total if i remember correctly

Hm, I haven't played in weeks so it's not a time gate issue. I don't have any verses in my inventory, and Vance doesn't have any verses on offer. Maybe I have to complete all the heroic adventures? It says they're all active.

You don't need to do the heroics, just wait it means he isn't offering the prophesy that you need, check back after Tuesday reset
