I’ve never understood the mentality of either meta only players or strike rushers. It’s like going on a vacation to a beautiful foreign country and rushing through it without trying any of the different foods or taking time to enjoy all the new sights in surrounding areas. All that just so you can say „been there, done that“. Although I am no longer able to be a top tier player, (going on 60 in January and my hand/eye coordination isn’t what it used to be) I am still above average in both PvP and PvE. I still play for relaxation, to get away from my daily wear and tear. Gaming is my church, it’s where I go to heal my hurts. 99% of the gamers I meet daily are not pro gamers. But unfortunately many of them are people who think they are special, egotistical elitists with only the goal of getting everything as fast as possible thinking that makes them godlike. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy progression just as much as everyone else. But not at the cost of having fun doing it. Meeting new people on the way, enjoying myself because it’s a game and not a chore that I have to get done quickly as possible .
