Well I'll be! Somebody who understands! What you said is a pet peeve of mine. I can't count the number of times someone or a pair has run ahead and left either myself or the two us behind. They don't seem to grasp the fact that one player, if they're in the lead, can run past the enemies fairly easily. Although what they don't seem to know or worse, seem to care about, is that anyone behind them has a good chance of getting hosed since the enemies are now fully alerted and have assumed a defensive posture. There's no prize for being the first one to the final encounter. You're not going to get an award for being first. And no one cares how fast you can run the entire length of a Infinite Forest strike for example. I can almost hear them muttering to themselves "Damn I'm good! Left those n00bs in the dust!! But screw them. As long as I get there first, I win!!" So please, don't do that! Don't be 'That Guy'.

  • See now, if the other two players want to speed through, THEN i join with them. The issue is just when one player decides to keep trying to speed by everything, dying, reviving, and then doing the same thing again

  • I agree that’s idiotic. Only speed run if you’re actually going to make with the first try maybe two. Seems fair. But if they don’t you’re telling me ppl are so uptight they don’t get a kick out of ppl trying I mean I go slow and steady and it cracks me up. But I’m not gonna Bitch cause I came in to kill stuff the more the merrier, I’ll get to them when I get them

  • Dumb ass fool. They're not trying to be the winner but save the time for the whole team. You -blam!-ing 0.3kds piss me off so much its mind blowing how slow your brains work.

Eventually they get to the final boss and your slow ass gets loaded in. They put the effort to speed run it so you don't have too. You should be thanked. But if they keep dying and you reviving then just leave them behind.

  • Yeah see we just don’t want to spend 30 minutes on a 15 minute strike because it’s not like the rewards are worth it. It has nothing to do with “noobs” we just want to get it done I guarantee no speed runner cares about loot, or some Satisfaction of getting to the boss first

  • No legitimate speed runner is going to load into a strike solo. Look, you want to speed run, do it on your time with your friends. Quit ruining other people's experience. Besides, if you were actually good at the game, worked as a team, and actually played the game rather than run past it, strikes take very little more time than running past and dying at checkpoints to bring people forward.

What’s funny is the same can be said about those who don’t speed run. “Do it on your own time with your friends” Plus it’s matchmaking. I don’t really care about your experience I’m just trying to get the end of the strike And I don’t die to bring ppl forward. You will get there on your own time or you’ll get there when i get to the boss 🤷🏾‍♂️ Also you’re suggesting that speed running means you’re not good at the game which is wrong in itself. Sorry if the fact that I’ve ran the same strike thousands of times and I don’t feel the wasting my time doing it longer than I need to. You don’t wanna speed run get a fire team If I wanna Speed run get a fireteam If you’re in matchmaking don’t complain about speed running when you have options, just like I don’t say anything about the other two playing how they want cause idc how they play they paid for the game they can do whatever tf they want as long as everyone knows it’s all hands on deck at the boss 🤷🏾‍♂️ Seems pretty fair to me Then again idk I’m a selfish speed runner so eh

  • Saying you don’t care about another persons experience kinda makes you selfish, not so much the speed running

If you’re playing matchmaking it’s safe to assume some don’t care about how you would like to enjoy the game. Fair assumption. They either there because they themselves are bored, they’re farming, or milestones. None of those options take into account how you’re enjoying the game. All I’m saying is, I do both and it’s really not that big a deal, revive if it’s on the way if it’s not who gives a -blam!-. Play how you wanna because no one cares how you’re enjoying the game in matchmaking and it’s fair to make that assumption you want ppl that care lfg, friends, clan. And runners could use the same avenues but they’d rather just spawn in with randoms and worry about their own enjoyment or lack there of. I suggest you do the same I’ll tell you now if I die speed running and I’m not at the boss don’t revive me I’m texting and I chose to jump off to finish my text. I’ll jump off again if you revive me.

  • It's the same pu*s**s which complain since d1 about everything Instead of improving their 0.3kd a**. The only thing they can is complaining because the others are wrong and everyone needs to play like they want because they are scrubs and can't compete.

  • What is it with your obsession with peoples kd? Is kd life for you? Is it the main reason to play games? You are too hardcore for strikes dude, you should be soloing the raids on prestige mode cos you are that badass 💪 Also il save ya some time tough guy, my kds are shit so ya don’t even have to check but here’s the thing, I couldn’t give a -blam!- what mine or anyone else’s kd is, just another pointless stat in another pointless computer game

I don't really care about the loot either, nor do I care about getting there first. I do care about playing as a team. If it takes a couple of minutes longer, so be it. Usually the only reason I run them is to complete the Milestone. And that's easier and faster when three people work together as a team. The way they were intended to be played. I don't know if you saw it, but there was recently a post wherein someone claimed they preferred to stay back and kill all of the ads rather than run ahead with those who left enemies behind. I agreed that leaving enemies at your rear is generally speaking a bad idea and tactically unsound. Even in a video game. I don't like doing that. That said, it's more important to stay with your teammates. "Where we go one, so shall we go all." The best weapon, piece of gear, or whatever that you can possibly have - is the person next to you. And again, in my opinion, it's the same way in video games. We're not talking about an activity that can sometimes end up lasting hours which should only take a fraction of that time as long as everyone knows what to do, when to do it, where to do it and why they're doing it. We're talking about Strikes. So why run ahead of the other two. It's selfish behavior, pure and simple. Poor sportsmanship. You name it. There is no denying that. Sure, there are those who will try and justify it but it remains selfishness nonetheless if they're not alone. However, if one is alone then certainly, they're free to do whatever they want.

  • Sounds like you’re in need of a fireteam that shares that philosophy. Sure I can settle with being selfish. But at the same time I’m playing the game the way I want and you are as well. Sometimes I choose to sit back and shoot and there are speed runners that go ahead, doesn’t bother me in the slightest because I like the challenge killing all the enemies myself when I’m in the mood for it What they do the team aspect you’re looking for is relative, and like you said your opinion, but again can’t really get upset at the play style of others when you’re in matchmaking when there are other options to randoms. Either way whether it’s speed-running or laying back. What the other two do is not really my concern if they die I’ll revive but them playing how they want to get to the boss shouldn’t be an issue as long as everyone knows once you get to the bossy all hands on deck regardless your “play style” or any “petty squabble” on the way there
