Its really has taken over the game because: 1. Armour does not matter, its cosmetic, and has tiny impact on how you play. 2. Shaders are one time consumbles, and the "coolest ones" are locked behind Eververse. 3. Most of the live events have a heavy focus on Eveverse. 4. Eververse is much more expanded in D2 than D1 unlike other activites. Please dimish Eververse by making it less revent.

  • I don't see the huge triggering a bunch of millennials have over eververse. I quite like getting that bright engram every so often and then getting stuff i can urn into bright dust and then waiting for a nice emote or other object I want and can get with it rather than simply relying on mega rng to maybe have it drop. The prismatic matrix was also nice and hopefully it isn't gone for good, despite them saying it'll be back in September. I wonder if there will ever come a day where this millennial generation will by and large quit their constant whining. Pretty sure never in human history has a generation of people whined as much they do. I realize not all millennials are whiners yet it sure seems like the majority are. The world is doomed when they people are running things if they never actually grow up.
They are listening
I love that you chose this for a third option. You really don't like Bungie do you

            • 1. You're using a 'does not matter' statement to prove something matters. That's just a logical fallacy. 2. The "coolest ones" are subjective. Also, they're not 'locked' at all. 3. 'Heavy focus' is a bit of an overstatement, I mean, returning to Tess to hand in an Engram isn't 'Heavy Focus'. 4. D1 was just as predatory as D2. Just look at D1's Dawning and Festival of the Lost events.

              • If there are people that seriously believe Bungie would even consider removing microtransactions entirely, they need to be removed from the gene pool. They'll make adjustments to the systems at best. Removing eververse is a stupidly unrealistic expectation.

              • Your going to have to accept that Eververse is here to stay, There is NO WAY bungie will ever drop considering it’s a good source of a side income for them. I don’t get your armor point btw, are you saying the ones from Eververse are useless as they’re only cosmetics? If so isn’t that a good thing? You can buy the shaders from Eververse, you just need to wait until they’re available, When Forsaken comes out you’ll have access to them whenever you want. If you play Destiny 2 consistently you’ll get most of if not all the items each season from Eververse just by playing the game. I personally have everything from season 3 except a few ornaments. As for the heavy usage of Eververse during events, I personally don’t need the need to own everything from said events. Unless the Armor is absolutely amazing I don’t feel entitled to any of it.

              • You need to masterwork armour if you want to make it have an impact and add mods. As for shaders, they are patching it and will now be in collections. The overhaul of Eververse after all the complaints has made put it in a better spot. Even if casual, you can now obtain all rewards without paying any money. It may take time, but you will get it.

              • 1. Try to do a raid with eververse's level 10 armor sets. 2. Calus's treasured, dead orbit's fate, the mad monk, & new monarchy diamonds can only be earned through game play. 3. Live events are useless. Again, try to raid with the dawning's level 10 armor sets. 4. You get way more free eververse shit in D2 than D1.

              • I just have to say that personally my favorite shader is The Mad Monk shader and that is not locked behind eververse. Also some of the stuff eververse sells is ugly as crap and I have no interest in it all. Another point is I have no issues getting rid of ships and shaders and ghost shells to gain bright dust, which if you play enough you can easily get a couple thousand a week. Most of what people complain about with eververse is personal opinion. I do agree though that she does hold more weight than she did in D1 expect for the live events, that had a lot to do with tess in D1 as well but in the same breathe she gives out more items than she ever did in D1...

              •
1. Armour does not matter, its cosmetic, and has tiny impact on how you play.
Exactly, and the eververse is no different, and often looks worse than other sets
2. Shaders are one time consumbles, and the "coolest ones" are locked behind Eververse.
But they can be obtained in gameplay, and I would say the raid has some of the nicest shades in the game
3. Most of the live events have a heavy focus on Eveverse.
Same as d1, it's what the live events do
4. Eververse is much more expanded in D2 than D1 unlike other activites.
But at least in d2 you get items often, it was almost impossible to get them in d1, and it's not more pronounced since its just an extra engram to turn in So eververse is fine as long as they don't screw up and do something stupid again
