Um the Vault of Glass has shards of glass not radiolaria. Where you getting this shizzle from? As for the fluid being the vex. It would be hard to have it flowing as rivers. Where would one vex begin and the other end. Clearly (with the fluid being the weak spot on all vex) their consciousness or programming is held in that. If you blow off their heads they simply enter a berserk mode and try to kill the one who blew the head off. From this we can deduce that the fluid is the heart that powers the vex while the head contains the conscious part of the machine as per any other lifeform. Like most things in Destiny. I doubt there is any great mystery to it. Most of the great revelations have been Bungie simply using the lore that us players have assumed was true. If enough players say the vex are the fluid I guarantee that's going to become the reality in game at some point.

  • I'll ask again. Where does it say that the vault of glass is made of solid radiolaria?

Since the other guy was basically only here to argue: The Glass Throne is the room we gave Atheon, it is called glass because that’s what it looks like but in the grimoire for the relic it says that it is a concentrated state of radiolaria. Hope this helped👍👍

  • Why would they have a throne made of glass?

  • Its called the vault of glass. I asked why anyone thought it was somehow the vault of radiolaria.

  • Just because it’s called the Vault of Glass doesn’t mean it’s LITERALLY made of glass. They created the Vault so that they can simulate the sword logic and manipulate reality or some shit.

  • Actually, unlike OP I actually checked and it's made of "Vex phase glass" so yea. I suggest people start to do what I do and NOT think that, just because someone says they are a lore master or know the lore etc. etc. That they are doing anything other than making sh%$ up! Check the various grimour and ridiculously obvious but, there's actual frikkin lore scanables that talk about phased glass shards near the frikkin gate that leads to the vault of glass on io!

  • But what IS Phase Glass exactly?

  • Yep and I'm not having a go at you or anything. My original point was that this so called lore that the original OP says i.e. that despite Ikora saying Radilaria has no other forms than the liquid we see he's contradicting that by saying the VoG is made of solid Radiolaria. I haven't seen anything that suggests the VoG is anything other than Vex made Glass. Maybe on Nessus or io you can find radiolaria crystals and shards but, there's no grimour saying VoG is radiolaria or anything so I simply asked that if I somehow missed this amazing piece of lore then point me to it. So far every reply has been "it must be" or "well it can't be actual glass can it" etc. etc. No reference to my original question at all. They are all skirting it pretty well though!

  • By that thought, everything should mindlessly attack when you remove it's head. It choosing to forget about cover and charge in recklessly is still a decision, even if it's a bad one. Certain components may be in the head, but whatever main processor it has is likely not in the head.
