Favorite mechs in games.
There’s a few too many warframe posts in newest threads currently and one I responded to recently is making me think of Battletech. Let’s discuss the many mechs of video games.
My favorite mech is probably the Mad Cat Mk II. Sizable, sturdy, has jump jets, and it be equipped for a variety of situations. It also looks cool.

Loved using the Daishi in Mechwarrior Mercenaries. Also the Fafnir. Twin heavy gauss was OP. as for asthetics, either the Timber Wolf or the Bushwacker.

RX-78-3 Gundam Magnetic coated joints for increased mobility over the RX-78-2 model and a grey color scheme making it more difficult to visually located during space combat.

I’ve got a few. 1. Monarch and Ion from Titanfall 2. I’m including them both since they function similarly. And they’re both my favorite mechs. They’re big, they’re reliable, and they got female British actors telling you to get the -blam!- out when too many titans are near you. What’s not to love about them? 2. The Mantis. Some people look down on the mantis in halo, I look up to the death dealing machine it is. Give me a mantis and I’ll survive longer than most players will. 3. And finally, my final mech would be ironically Gipsy Danger from Pacific Rim: The Videogame. Think of mortal Combat except with less blood and giant monsters and robots. That was my favorite mech and game for a long time

I've been playing mech games since BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception on the Commodore 64. Mechwarrior: Mercenaries was my jam back in the day but I also enjoyed Heavy Gear and Heavy Gear 2. Titanfall 2 was also pretty great. My favorite mech from all these games was Sunder from Mechwarrior 3. It felt enormous, lethal, and mobile for a 90 ton monster.

Awwww yea the Mad Cat Mk-II in the Mech Warrior games will always be my favorite. Damn those games bring back some good memories.
