Hi from what I've seen on youtube it seems like the community is a bit confused by the purpose of the upcoming well of radiance super for warlock and it may need to be worked on before forsaken is released. That said I wanted to mention what I think would be a really cool effect for it to get the word out and hope that Bungie sees it.
Sunsinger was by far my favourite sublass in D1 and I was crushed by it's removal in D2. It was so unique compared to other supers and was so fun to just spam grenades and melees. I'm hoping that the well of radiance is an opportunity to bring that back in D2. Given that it's a rift that effects allies as well I think it'd be amazing if it would drastically reduce cooldowns for all allies' abilities and provide the over shield shown in gameplay clips. It'd be super fun to be able to lock down a location with this rift and allow yourself and all your allies to spam their abilities IMO.
So what does the community think?

Super cool!! Just like my D1 titan bub.... wait.... where did my bubble go??

I’ll put my answer as “We Shall See.” I don’t role a warlock much but I’m all for a supportive role like this. Gathering the team, slamming down rift abilities, and letting it all loose on a boss is one of my favorite aesthetics of this game. Plus, adding the ability to heal/empower teammates grenade/melee is pretty neat. Hopefully it’s as good as it sounds.

What if someone died in the AoE and it lets them self res? It would be a nice addition and would really help the raid scene with carries.

It's going to be the worst super in the entire history of destiny. No one asked for a glorified healing rift with a minimal damage increase. It'll be worse than ward of dawn. It's already worse than lunafaction boots + empowering rift. Don't tell me that bungie will fix it cause they won't. Can you honestly think to yourself that you wanted this as a new super?

It’s a glorified healing rift

For the initial game play the super is extremely underwhelming. Don't get me wrong I love the design concept. But keep in mind its a super, it needs to complete with other supers. I would love to see the following done to the super. 1. If you are standing in the Well you get two buffs. One for damage and one for health. Which is what people are saying it does now. If that's the case then the it needs more tuning. Here's a possible idea. While in the rift your weapons (any weapon) should have a huge damage increase. For example a Hand Cannon should two tap to the body or one tap precision damage. Most Supers are designed to be one shot kills, so this is in line without being OP. The health buff should be enough to survive a heavy weapon attack like a single rocket. 2. If you leave the rift you lose the health buff but keep the weapon buff for a short period of time (5- 10 sec). just an idea!!!

The ability recharge buff needs to be increased. Other than that it's looks pretty great.
-
In mayhem, you’re dead if you use this super.
-
Well of Radiance + Lunafaction + Suros Regimes It’s gonna be ridiculous....
-
Depends on how powerful the buffs are. They need to be substantial to balance the fact that the super ties to you to a specific location.
-
Considering how much damage Pulse Nades still do...imagine 5 people spamming those. Yeeeeeesh. Thats mad DPS.
-
We're going to have to see exactly what kinds of buffs the well gives. And if lunafaction boots work with it

Triple radius

Edited by TKE-Aquila: 6/13/2018 3:06:53 PMI can't completely comment on it, since we know so little about it, but, assuming it's a variation on Weapons of Light as I think it is, I can imagine it being used in raids and raid lairs. That last DPS race with Calus could be as follows: Titan drops small barrier Dawnblade pops Well of Radiance Nightstalker tethers "Light 'em up!"
-
Let's widen the radius. Make it huge!

The more I think about it the cooler it gets. I cant wait to see what this is like. I hope they find some way to make it decent in PVP as well though.

I think it's too hard to tell right now which is why my vote has gone with Meh. Being tied to one spot isn't that fun though having a strong support option for raiding will maybe be cool. I would have preferred the buffs to my team while still being able to move about. Why not summon a flame soul for each character that grants healing and over shield and increased damage while giving the Warlock increased speed and Solar melees. Just go around in like in D1 setting everyone on fire.

I haven't seen it yet. but I'm imagining a rift the size of a cap point, and even then don't know the benefits and perks. I don't believe in a super that anchors me to one spot when I'm still open to enemy fire. A ward of dawn is a tihgt enclosed bubble, super safe. Now dawnblades can go "everybody hop in the cooldown pool, while our enemies stop engaging and get out of sight lines
