Why Level Advantages in Trials and IB?

I essentially didn't start playing D1 until the announcement of D2 (took a 3 year hiatus from D1 after the first month or two of release). I never got into PvP until I had to, but my question is.. - Why is Level Advantages in Iron Banner and Trials such a common demand amongst the community? What's the the pros of it? - From my point of view, someone who rarely plays it but would eventually like to enjoy it, it seems like that puts Players at a disadvantage unless they play the game and it's endgame activities regularly. In that aspect of gameplay it should be "casualized". You should be put at an even playing field against a team. A player with more skill than another should not be at a disadvantage just because his/her Power Level is lower than the other. A player with less skill than another should not have the upper hand just because they have friends/group that help them through raids and etc. every week. - I'll keep an open mind and listen to your feedback since I'm new to the whole Level Advantages in these activities, but I really don't see any pros to this. You want everyone to enjoy said content, but the upper % of players will always have a handicap in their favor. How is that reasonable? - Thank you in advance for any responses

  • It's going to be an even bigger issue since the light gap is going to be massive and anyone who doesn't have forsaken will most likely get steam rolled I hope they take this into account
