The Fundamental Issue in Destiny

I don't see anyone talking about the engine of the game and apparently this is the biggest issue on Destiny, the reason why it's so hard for the developing team to make new stuff. For example, re-skin armors and weapons, making new enemies, creating content in general. Do Bungie has plans about this engine matters in a long term or short? Is it possible that you guys considering using another engine or make a new one more appealing for the dev team? Thanks In case you are curious I made a bigger topic about it here: https://www.bungie.net/pt/Forum/Post/245706242/0/0

  • If they had to use another engine, they would have to re design as recode most if not all of the game from the ground up. I don't see that as a posibility, given the compressed timetable that they are contracted for by EA. To sum up, its only going to get worse. They started with the wrong tools and workflows and 4 years on they are still trying to catch up.

      • I almost think they have the moniker of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." They are still selling the game the way it is. Call of Duty hardly ever changes anything yet people still eat that garbage game up.
