They do this with eververse already. And if they allowed a ranking system to see how many times you’ve leveled past the cap, that wouldn’t be a bad idea. But, if you’re saying to make the game unbalanced by adding infinite levels, then I’d have to disagree. Casual players need a level cap to reach so they can feel accomplished and be at the “same level” as everyone else. Now, if power level was uncapped. But every dlc would make everyone’s power reset to say 200. Then, it would make that grind feeling more and more worth. I’m ranting a little, but I’ll make a quick point.
TL;DR: Exp level uncapped = bad for everyone who doesn’t have time
Power level uncapped = good for people who have time and want to feel overpowered. Although mandatory power resets would be inevitable.

It can be done correctly as it has been done in many successful games and has only improved the experience and not harmed it.

If you allow progression in power level not base level, that allows end game activities to be rerun. Base level increases won’t make anything replay able.
-
Because higher base level is something that applies only to the gear that you are able to equip. I.E. lvl 26 able to equip 350 items. It’d be best if the light was uncapped so that people could improve their characters without making them able to equip different level required gear.

Ah ok, I think they should make levels important and have statistical advantages and not be completely reliant on gear.

Good point. But I’d make the upgrades apply to supers. Not stats
