You forgot the colony.
I run focus fire suros regime cuz it’s fun to use and it actually shreds. Makes me miss D1

The Suros is actually good! I also don't see many people using it, which is ALWAYS a good thing. And yeah! The colony is so annoying.. I think I get killed by that more than the Sins of The Past haha
-
Well the reason why not many people use the suros is cuz of its weird damage falloff. Even with focus fire it does barely any damage outside of medium range. It’s really weird. It’ll shred everywhere else though You can tell someone has no skill when the have the colony equipped. At least the other weapons you listed take SOME skill to use. I once fired two completely random shots with the colony, not aiming at or even within the line of sight of anyone, and I got a kill. It’s absurd
-
That's true, the falloff is pretty major but as someone who rushes unlike 90% of people I see in PvP I don't really get effected by it haha And wow! That honestly hurts me to hear that lol It's a shame that people have to use such BS just to get a kill.
-
As a warlock that doesn’t run much resilience, I have to play more conservatively in pvp to make better use of healing rift and not get shredded by other people, so I tend to notice the damage falloff more often. Though when I do catch someone at close or medium range, they just get shredded. The colony is honestly the only thing keeping me from having fun in the crucible. I think that you should have to lock on to someone for the spiders to home into them. Like a rocket launcher
-
That's not a bad idea actually, I feel that might make it less of a "random fire for a kill" weapon and make it into a "lock on and fire, monster of a weapon" similar to the Truth in D1. I like my 7 Resilience Titan but I mainly play on my 10 Mobility Hunter since I can out strafe people lol Rushing with either a Suros or Battlescar is fun but I often get killed by people that run in groups or with one of the guns listed above which is why I kinda stopped playing PvP lately since I don't find it enjoyable anymore (R.I.P)
-
Yeah then the colony would actually take a bit of skill to use. I’m too lazy to make another character. I’ve only had a warlock since destiny 1 and I’ve actually gotten by fine. Strafing is always a good skill to have. It’s the main tactic to counter graviton lance and vigilance wing
-
Agreed. Now I actually hope they add that lol I mained my Titan since D1 but I never used my Hunter or Warlock in D1 even tho they were both max LL, in D2 I'm really enjoying my Hunter even more than my Titan and that makes me wanna start on my Warlock soon to see if I like it even more than D1. Strafing is essential in my eyes, being able to make the enemy miss shots is life or death in the current PvP environment.
-
Strafing is essential in any pvp fps. Hitting your opponent more than they hit you make you win firefights. I never felt the need to make another character. Especially in destiny 1, warlock just did everything I wanted to do. It was especially nice to be able to revive myself and be the clutch in higher level stuff. I still have those feelings in d2, but less so cuz of how much bungie. simplified the class system. That and I’m still lazy :P
-
That is a fair point! The Warlock self-res was AMAZING! lol saved my fireteam in raids all the time. I kinda miss it, I won't lie haha. They did simplify the subclasses too much imo and it takes away from player freedom to experiment with class builds but eh I just like my Ward of Dawn and NightSalker lol
-
I really dislike that they made each subclass have only 2 trees of things that you can’t even change. Its too simple. They could at least give us the ability to choose stuff from both trees. Like having ward of dawn AND shoulder charge
-
Or Ward of Dawn and two grenades. I'd honestly love if they added new exotics that gave the same bonuses as the skills from other tress or even perks from D1! Imo that'd also make the exotics way better than they are now.
-
Edited by epicperon: 5/26/2018 10:42:52 PMI would love it too. Like having dawnblade grenades light enemies on fire like sunsinger in D1 or have the buffs from ward of dawn stay on when you leave the bubble like how it was before.
-
Exactly! Those Exotic armor pieces would be way better than half of what we have now. I mean if Warlocks can get a good buff for their gauntlets (I forgot the name lol) where you can get infinite grenades for a bit after melee killing someone then I totally see it as possible to add them because that sounds similar to D1 Radiance. In short, I can't wait to see what they're gonna add!
-
The new sunbracers do sound awesome. I would like them to bring back nothing manacles. I’m sick of vortex grenade being the only viable voidwalker grenade
-
That would be awesome. I hope Bungie does bring back some of the old exotics perks but in new exotics just to have something new to look at.
-
Yeah or at least come up with better new perks. “Standing in the rift marks enemies”. Really? That’s the best they can do?
-
Maybe Rift could atleast increase weapon range and reload or give faster ability recharge. Bungie does seem to be adding in poorly made exotics imo.
-
I think lunafaction boots are actually getting those buffs. Idk though. I think they ran out of ideas after d1, which is why d2 seems so poorly made. Well that and bungie cares more about money than the community nowadays. Imagine if they paid attention to this conversation. Some of our cool ideas might actually be implemented into the game
-
I would if they took some ideas from players that know the game, I feel it could really make the game better. Especially ideas for the PvP. Like maybe making some of the less used legendary weapons better.
-
Yeah like buffing scouts and sidearms to create more weapons variety in pvp. They’ve needed a buff since day one.
-
I personally like where sidearms are at right now, especially the Last Dance/Hope and the IB sidearm. Scouts though yeah, I don't ever see em used all to often. I use the FWC scout but that one is also really good.
-
I loved that scout before the aim assist nerf. Now on console they don’t stick at all. Look at all the semi auto sidearms. They’re all useless for everything. How often do you see people use, say, minimum distance in any activity?
-
Honestly not that much, I think I maybe see it once every 50 games, maybe lol As for the scout, I still think it's really good, plus I'm used to low or no aim assist weapons. It's my defense against the Gravtion Lance.
-
I just get up close to graviton lance users and they can’t really kill me. Suros regime beats it out at close and medium range. I’ve seen minimum distance once in a crucible match back in november. Haven’t seen it since lol. The guys that was using it couldn’t get a kill the first 5 minutes of the game so he switches weapons. Sidearms are laughably pathetic
-
That kinda makes me wanna use it and see how I do haha That's true, the Suros is a CQC monster. The thing about the Gravititon Lance is just that it's over used. I also wish they make IB weapons better.
