I’m not against random rolls but if you think it’ll bring back most of those of us who stopped playing.. You’d be delusional..
The perks on my gun won’t fix the lack of fun content or slow boring gameplay.. Random rolls are not content.. In D1 you overestimate how many of us cared to run around for what you call a “god roll”..
Most of the time you could get these great weapons just playing normally.. No need to go out of your way to farm them.. Unless for what ever reason you felt it was an absolute must to have a certain roll..

Most people played the game longer to farm weapon rolls for a LONG time, all the way from Y1 D1. That kept most playing
-
Sure it added artificial play time to the equation.. But if your only playing to try and get a better weapon, what’s the point? Weapons were a tool to be used.. Not content.. If they had stats on them like say Gear in Diablo games.. Sure.. But when your most exciting perks are as pathetic as destinys were... It becomes a matter of very little importance..
-
The point is grinding for said Tool with a good set of perks depending on the activity. Yes, Rolls don’t make a majority of the game, however it was essential
-
I’m sorry you felt certain rolls were essential.. And get anything to do with pvp outta hereee.. Ruined the game..
-
I can’t deny it any longer; perhaps PvP did ruin the game
-
That’s simply not true.. If you think most people kept playing to simply get a weapon with different perks.. You’re wearing rose colored glasses..

HoW reforging system says it all. Why do you think it didn’t come forward into the current game? Because people were going crazy trying to get the perfect weapon. Anyone with a longbow that can be reforged has already won the battle
