Time someone called an doctor we have an flatliner
English
-
Oh yeah aw You better call me a doctor Feelin' no pain Overloaded, down the drain Somebody get me a doctor You better call up the ambulance, I'm deep in shock Overloaded, baby, I can hardly walk Somebody get me a doctor Somebody get me a doctor Aww feelin' over fine And I'm speedin' down that line
-
Flat-line would be zero...bruv.
-
Flat line is a constant value in response to a changing input variable. Or a 1st derivative of zero. But in practical terms, it isn’t unreasonable to exclude small variations and even trends if they are relatively small in magnitude.
-
This is a fair point, in the mathematics and statistical analysis sense...which is arguably the intent. I inferred we were using in the sense of "death" or in medical terms, which would require zero indication of heart beat. Or in other terms "zero players". But you make a fair point.
-
What makes you consider the reference to medical terms? This is a video game and in video game terms those numbers posted signify a dead game!
-
The metaphor used was "call a doctor" + "flatline" which would signify "dead" (as you stated). To me, dead is the hyperbolic equivalent of "nobody playing". I play too many games to ignore general player counts for games on average. 300-400k people playing daily is pretty far from dead to me. But it's trendy to hate on Destiny so...I get it I guess.

You sound like a person who cares way to much about literal translations and has way to much time on their hands.
-
Thanks.
