Wrongful PVP ban on friend.

I have a friend that has been wrongfully banned for the crucible. His name is JonerPea. He does not cheat or find ways to make his connection garbage. Bungie with the state of the crucible, please find a way to unban him otherwise I will have one less person to play with, and that is dwindling as is. • Sadly if he was banned it was for a reason. He may be a friend but you weren’t there so you really have no idea if he cheats or not . He could’ve been in a fireteam with someone who was cheating and well guilt by association.

  • Hey there, There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Permanent account bans are only implemented with rigorous checking to ensure that the innocent are not punished alongside the guilty. Bungie does not comment on or discuss individual account restriction or bans. Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. Bungie takes actions to preserve the experience of all Destiny players, and does not take account restrictions lightly. Players are responsible for their online account and console hardware, and any actions taken in the world of Destiny, and should be careful of who they allow to access their Destiny account. Hope this clears things up.

  • Bungie does not discuss restrictions or bans. Restrictions typically START at 1 week of normal PVP and 1 month of Trials. Bans are lifetime https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929

If he was part of a fireteam where some players were cheating he's "guilty" by association. That's the risk of playing with strangers, if that was the case. Considering that all bans are indisputable and definitive I think your friend is out of the crucible for good (if it was a permanent ban).

      • You're friend was probably in a team that had a cheater. He may have been clueless but is guilty by association.

        • I'm pretty sure when Bungie bans you it can't be disputed or repealed. Your friend is either going to have to wait out the ban or move on to other games.
