If God and Satan were real, then God would be the bad one and Satan the good one.
Satan keeps all the people who are bad in an eternal prison, stopping them from destroying the purity of heaven.
God on the other hand gives killer diseases, makes the bad people in the first place, does mass murders and calls it religion I.E flooding the world to start again.

I like Al Pachino's explanation when he played the Devil in "The Devil's advocate".
-
Indeed
-
Satan became a slave to hell when he was cast out of heaven, he does not own/run the place
-
He does run it, he's the warden, if he wasn't there all hell would break loose.
-
That's not how hell is said to work, Satan is trapped in hell as well. He is not there voluntarily, and he suffers eternal damnation too
-
Which ever way you look at it he's the big dog there and without a big dog the litter will run riot.
-
I don’t think you get this whole religion concept
-
You're right I don't, to me it's all bollocks but each to their own.
-
Well perhaps if you actually learned a thing or two about the religion you were criticizing (Christianity) you wouldn’t be making such outrageous claims.
-
I still would
-
If you had even attempted to read the Bible, then you would know that practically everything you say is wrong. Satan does not control Hell.
-
How do you that what I said is wrong? Because some book told you!!! People can have a different opinion on fairy tales, it doesn't make either one of them right. Besides I have no interest at all in reading the Bible when the basics are so as I say or you go to hell. If religion is your thing, then fair play to you. It's not for me though.

You can’t just make up your own stories about a religion and expect them to be taken as part of the religion.
-
Well who ever wrote that book made up their own stories.
-
We are to get anywhere on discussing the content of a doctrine, we must assume that that doctrine is true for the sake of conversation.
-
You never assume anything in life, only take something as true when you have cold hard facts showing the true. That's why religious people have faith, they have no way of knowing if it's true or not, so they put their faith into it. So no I don't have assume it's true. Always question everything in life, never settle for assumptions.
-
Well then we are talking about the validity of the Bible, not what it’s content says. Those are two entirely different conversations.
-
Well it's not logically or factually sound, guess that means the validity isn't that good then. This whole conversation has been about content in the book.
-
There you go again. Look, if you wish to ‘disprove’ the Bible, then do so.
-
There I go again? I don't have to disprove anything, there's no actual facts proving anything in that book is real, so I'd say it's down to the believers to prove it, which they can't hence why they call it faith. It's not really hard to comprehend, unless there is concrete evidence always have doubt but seems you're to blinkered by your book.
