Depends on the speed, time and distance of either as well as the proper heart rate.
Which mode makes no difference.
If you have the bike and a decent place to ride, do that.
If you don't have the bike, run.
If you maintain a 15-25 mph speed on a road bike, you can burn in the neighborhood of 1000 calories per hour.

Plus biking is more fun IMHO
Trail running is fun though as well.....
A proper diet.
I prefer biking over jogging mainly because it's not as strenuous on my joints. I don't burn much when I jog compared to biking. On the other side, my friend that I go to the gym with loves jogging, and burns more calories jogging than he does biking.
Just go with whichever one you enjoy more.
