Reincarnations ENDING Part 2

We landed on the Tower, but instead of the usual Tower we all know, it was different. There was a different layout. The postmaster was in a mere stand, along with the Cryptarch – there weren’t as many decorations, he was also in a stand-like area. Banshee still had the desk, but it didn’t have as much weapons as it does today. He also looked a bit different since he likely hadn’t been wiped as much. The Warlock led us to a table where three people – one Human Male, one Human Female, and one Exo - stood on a table, likely plotting out plans for something. “Osiris. Tallulah. Saint-14. These two Exos have survived from Old Chicago all the way out to here, killing multiple Fallen. They also managed to kill an Archon and a Baron. I think they’ll be of some use to us. Osiris looked at me. “Yes… If we polish them up, they may be of use. Do they recall any memory of their creation?” I said, “No… All I remember was waking up in a crumbled building, then coming here. The name’s Ventharok. This is Axon.” Saint-14 (I knew he was Saint-14 from the wipe tag) said, “If a Ghost would choose them… We have multiple unassigned Ghosts. Let’s see if any of them are to be picked.” (I actually am about to do something that MAY seem confusing, but it will make sense.) We went to a room where multiple star-shaped, blue-eyed robotic things were floating around. When we entered, they all immediately looked at us. “Axon, go ahead,” I said. He sat down and a ghost scanned him. A few seconds later, it stopped scanning him and went back to floating aimlessly. Another one scanned him. No luck. Two more did, the latter one staying longer, but they left. Finally, the final one came. He scanned… Suddenly, an aura of white light surrounded Axon. “I think you’ll do, Guardian,” the Ghost (DinkleBot Voice) said. Then, three symbols appeared – a hexagon cut into four pieces, 3 rows of diagonal lines, and a symbol that appeared to be a mix of triangles. Axon touched the 3 rows of diagonal lines. The symbols disappeared and the symbol he touched appeared above him. Then, two more symbols appeared – a gun that appeared to be on fire, and a blade sparkling with electricity. Axon touched the gun, and the light turned orange, along with the symbol above him. “A Gunslinger rises,” Tallulah began “And let the Darkness be afraid,” Osiris finished. It was my turn. Two ghosts scanned me, but shortly left. The third one was a bit longer, but left. The fourth one scanned me for about ten seconds… And it left. “Not everyone is a Guardian. You’ll be a wall patrol,” said Saint-14. “That’s good. I picked up this sniper from one of the… what do you call them, Fallen? Yes. Anyways, I picked it up from one of them.” We went back to the table area. Tallulah grabbed some white armor and gave it to Axon and helped him put it on. Saint-14 directed me to a place I would be while Axon would begin his training as a Guardian. For a few hours, I just picked stray Fallen stupid enough to come close to the walls. Otherwise, it was pretty boring. Until… Alarms suddenly started blaring, and a voice – who I recognized as Saint-14 – said, “All City Residents! Find safety immediately! The Fallen are assaulting the Walls! Titan Teams Galahad and Borealis, take the North and South walls respectively! Titan Teams Akkad and Valhalla, take the East and West! Warlocks and Hunters – Get on the ground and assist the Titans! All Non-Guardian Combatants are to take the citizens to the assault bunkers! The City will not fall!” Immediately, I saw at least 400 Fallen, about 30 skiffs, and roughly 20 tank-like vehicles begin assaulting the Walls. I sniped as many as I could, but the Fallen’s snipers bombarded me. I decided to attempt shooting down the Skiffs. I hit off their weapons. They won’t be a- Suddenly, a Skiff slammed into the wall nearby. The force knocked me off and sent me plummeting into the buildings below. This was it. Truly. I barely heard a voice – likely Axon – shout, “VENTHAROK!!!” Then, everything went dark. EPILOUGE I slowly felt like I had just woken up from an eternal slumber. I faintly heard a voice saying, “Guardian?” My eyes slowly opened. The view was blurry, and then it came back. I looked at my hands… I was wearing some type of gloves. When my vision came to, a white, star-shaped object was looking at me. I nearly jumped when I saw the object. “Wh… What are you?” I said. “I’m a ghost. Well, now I’m your ghost. You’re a Guardian, and a Warlock. I’ll explain this all to you later, but first we need to get a jumpship. Let’s get out of here.” Confused, I ran into the massive wall that was nearby. After getting a gun, we cleared out four-armed aliens and their robots, and got a jumpship. We flew to a tower in a massive city with a white orb hovering above it. During transit, I remembered some things. An explosion… someone shouting my name… everything going dark… When I got there, I saw multiple people that appeared like me – armored and with Ghosts, some of them without helmets like me. We walked over to get welcomed by my “warlock vanguard” and given a better piece of armor and some currency. We then went to the Hangar to get my ship fixed. I explored the area down the staircase in between the “Dead Orbit” guy and Amanda Holliday. I looked at what was there for a bit. Then I saw someone familiar… a person in white armor, although most of it was torn and blackened... I remembered another Exo… Then it came back to me. I was seeing Axon. He turned around, and when he saw me, he sprinted towards me exclaiming “VENTHAROK!”, and since nobody was watching, embraced me. “How in the HECK did you come back? I SAW you fall from that height! At least, from what I remember...” he said. “Axon… I’ll tell you later. First off, how are you still in your old armor?” I asked. He looked kind of grim when I said the latter. “I have no idea... All I know is that after seeing an explosion, everything blanked out, then the last thing I remembered was waking up out in Old Phoenix. But how did you get here?” We sat down, and I explained to him my Reincarnation cycle. CURRENT TIME Alder took all of it in. “Ventharok… It’s time you knew more about yourself.” Surprised, I asked, “What do you mean?” He opened a container I personally had never known about, and took out a small video chip, and played it. A video came on screen of two scientists and an Exo frame, which I assumed to be mine. “This Exo is made in a strange way. We’ve infused him with energies from sources that seem to make a significant boost to power. It’s also apparently able to make them extremely helpful. We’ve already decided on a name for our next one: Axon.” Cut to a similar scene, but with me and a different Exo, likely Axon. We’re also fully assembled. “Activating,” one of the scientists said. My eyes opened. “Hello, sir.” Axon did the same. “Success. End the tape, we'll handle this from here,” said the other scientist. The video ends. I stood, dumbstruck, then said, "Why?" “I did this because I didn’t want you to be conflicted. I had to wait, and now was the right time,” said Ghost. I took it in and said, “I may need some time to take this all in and contemplate, but I'll be completely fine. After all, this is my destiny, isn’t it?” (If that confused you, basically, they're the only ones of their type. No other Exo has been made with the special power source, so in a way, Axon and Ventharok could be family - there's only one of you type of thing (although I'm not sure if that's how it works). Also, the special power source... I'll leave that to you.) END
